2018 World Slasher Cup-2: second-day semis today

Fast-paced encounters of the 2018 World Slasher Cup-2 Invitational 9-Cock Derby resume at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum today, Wednesday, May 9 with the semi-final round on tap.

The six-day super big event drew hundreds of entries from top breeders all over the world.

Set to compete today, with two wins each: Jess Moradas, Rene Medina of California, Jun Ranola, Pol Estrellado, Jervy Maglunob, Julia Nicole, Ricky Magtuto, Tony Marfori, Gov. Claude Bautista, Marvin Rillo, Nelson Uy, Jun Lao, Boyet Legazpi, Amante Capuchino, Frank Berin and Mayor Francis Espiritu.

Bel Almojera of Florida, USA, Doc Ayong Lorenzo, Jun Bacolod and Danny Buldog are within striking distance with 1.5 points each.

A participant must score a total of four points or more today to get a solid chance of bagging the championship.

The 4-cock finals will be held on Friday, May 11 (for participants with 2 to 3.5 points) and Saturday, May 12 (for participants with 4 to 5 points).

Organized by the Pintakasi of Champions, the World Slasher Cup known as the “Olympics of Cockfighting” is held twice a year every January and May.
