2018 World Slasher Cup-2: grand-finals today

Local and international cockfighting stars clash in the grand finals of the 2018 World Slasher Cup-2 Invitational 9-Cock Derby today, Saturday, May 12 at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Frank Berin, the 2017 WSC back-to-back champion and runner-up last January, leads the favorites with two of his entries leading the pack with 5-0 (win-loss) cards so far.

Also unbeaten with five wins so far is cockfight idol Patrick Antonio, the 2018 WSC-1 solo champion who will field today his high-stationed Inguel Lemon Roundhead noted for its well-proportioned body.

Visitors Bel Almojera of Florida, USA (4.5 points), Roger Nook of Vietnam, Carlos Camacho of Guam and Jorge Goitia of California (4 points each) remain in the hunt for the title and may pull an upset.

The other grand finalists: Hermie Capuchino, Gov. Kulit Alcala and Jun Lao/CGV (4.5 points each), Rey Briones, Jun Tejada, Jeffrey and Alwyn Sy, Gov. Claude Bautista, Jess Moradas, Ricky Magtuto, Jun Ranola, Marvin Rillo, Julia Nicole, Gov. Ito Ynares, Pol Estrellado, Boyet Legazpi, Mayor Ador Pleyto, Julio Vinluan and Nelson Uy (4 points).
